Introduction

B.M.S. College of Engineering (BMSCE) was Founded in the year 1946 by Late Sri. B. M. Sreenivasaiah a great visionary and philanthropist and nurtured by his illustrious son Late Sri. B. S. Narayan.

Location & Area : Located in the heart of Bangalore, the Garden City of India, BMSCE is about 5 KMs from the Central Railway Station. The campus area is 11 Acres 30 Guntas with a built up area of 99,500 Sq.M..

BMSCE is the first private sector initiative in engineering education in India. Over the past 74 years of its illustrious existence, the institution has produced more than 40,000 engineers/leaders who have enriched the world through their immense contributions for mankind. Started with only 03 undergraduate courses, BMSCE today offers 13 Undergraduate & 16 Postgraduate courses both in conventional and emerging areas. 14 of its Departments are recognized as Research Centers offering PhD/M.Sc (Engineering by Research) degrees in Science, Engineering and Management. The College has been effectively practicing outcome based education. The College has one of the largest student populations amongst engineering colleges in Karnataka. Currently about 5000 students are pursuing their higher studies in BMSCE. More than 350 research scholars are pursuing their PhD Degree in BMSCE Research Centres. Admission Procedure

BMS College of Engineering admission 2023 is made on the basis of the performance of the applicant in their entrance tests like KCET/ JEE Mains/ COMED-K and Senior Secondary Certificate Examination. BMS College of Engineering provides a four-year full-time Bachelor of Engineering programme with a specialization in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Information Technology. In at least 50% aggregate marks, the candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics, as well as one of the optional subjects: Chemistry, Bio-Technology, or Biology.

• For M.tech the candidate must hold a BE/ B.Tech degree in a relevant field and have received a minimum of 50% in all courses throughout all years/ Bachelor Degree examinations.
• MBA  candidates must have passed a qualifying examination, such as a Recognized Bachelor's Degree of at least three years duration or an equivalent examination, with a minimum aggregate score of 50% for general merit. Candidates with the highest combined marks in all courses, including language, in all years of the Bachelor's degree examination, are eligible for admission to a full-time MBA programme. In the case of SC, ST, and Category-I – I applicants in Karnataka, the candidate must obtain 45 per cent in Q. E.
• An MCA  candidate must have passed a qualifying examination, which is any recognised undergraduate examination or equivalent examination with Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Computer Application, Computer Programming, or Business Mathematics or Business Statistics as one of the optional subjects and a minimum of 50% for General Merit. Candidates for admission to MCA programmes must have a combined score in all topics in their bachelor's degree examination. In the case of SC, and ST candidates, 45 per cent of the marks in Q. E. are required.

Application Process 2023

• Applicants for admission to BMSCE of Engineering, Bangalore should complete the form for the prestigious Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) Entrance Exam, which will be conducted by the Karnataka State in accordance with admissions to the EngineeringBangalore Institute.
